Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) - In 2008, NOLS joined the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). AASHE is an association of colleges and universities that are working together by sharing ideas and innovations in order to create a sustainable future.

Adventure Collection - NOLS is a member of the Adventure Collection.  This is a collaborative group of organizations in the adventure travel industry.

Backpacking Light - BackpackingLight.com has worked with GoLite to develop an authentic lightweight backpacking course with NOLS.

Creative Energies - Creative Energies is Wyoming's premier full-service renewable energy company featuring solar, wind and water solutions for your energy needs. Since 2004, Creative Energies have supported our sustainability efforts, domestically and internationally.

Deuter - Deuter has teamed up with NOLS, designing expedition packs suited specifically for our courses.

GoLite - GoLite has worked with Backpacking Light to develop an authentic lightweight backpacking course with NOLS.  They also provide training to NOLS staff on the latest lightweight techniques.

Ibex - Ibex is supporting NOLS staff with wool tops made with New Zealand merino wool from sheep raised responsibly, with regard to environmental concerns and animal welfare.

Native Energy - Native Energy - NOLS and NativeEnergy™ offer a program for NOLS students to offset their travel to and from NOLS course sites. Learn more here.

Orvis - Orvis and NOLS have teamed up to offer a NOLS/Orvis Wilderness Fly Fishing course.  This is the only course dedicated to fly fishing.  In addition, Orvis guides provide training to NOLS staff.

Patagonia - Patagonia supplies full time NOLS field staff with technical outerwear.

Rocky Mountain Power - Funding from Rocky Mountain Power’s Blue Sky program recently enabled NOLS Rocky Mountain to install a solar array, consisting of 36 photovoltaic panels, on the roof of the school’s main building in Lander. Over a year’s time, the system is expected to produce about 10,640 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy to help power the school.
